Saxon Audio A300

Hand-built using a 1.2mm steel chassis and using a 6mm extruded military-grade HE9 aluminium front panels, the Saxon A300 has many of it's bigger brothers' attributes.

By raiding the parts bins from our various different historic and current models, from both Talk and Saxon, we have been able to produce this stunning amplifier. The power amp section is directly 'stolen' from the A500 and it's mother board is passed down from our older Talk Cyclone 1.1. The Transformer and capacitors are the same as we used in our Talk Storm 1, our original integrated amplifier but with the more recent pre-amp section of the Cyclone 1.1. The cost savings that this process yields means that we are able to produce an exceptional performance for the money.

Producing a healthy 50 Watts into 8 Ohms and over 80 Watts into more difficult 4 Ohm loads, the A300 demonstrates an impressive ability to drive all real world loudspeakers. Standard 4mm binding posts are provided for the speaker outputs.

The amplifier is fully equipped with RC5 based remote control for input selection, volume and mute functions, however to keep costs down is supplied without a handset. Although one can be provided if you find it necessary. The matching CD300's handset will operate both items. It has 6 line-level inputs with one pre-out socket for additional power amplifiers such as the Saxon P500.
