Built around the latest L1210 Philips mechanism this, the top of the range Saxon CD player will not disappoint, with stunning sound quality and fully balanced differential outputs this player is a cut above what you would normally expect at this price level.

Great lengths have been taken to optimise the printed circuit board layout to gain the maximum performance from the two, dual differential digital to analogue converters (DACs) which are followed by our own custom analogue output circuitry, minimising phase shift whilst giving excellent attenuation of radio frequency interference inherently generated by digital circuitry. This new design also has two separate transformers, one for digital and one for the analogue section.

The extensive use of high-quality surface mount components throughout the range, is a testament to the care and dedication that has gone into creating this CD player.

The result is a highly musical CD player, totally at odds with the typically clinical and artificial-sounding alternatives currently available. When partnered with the matching A700 Mk2 integrated amplifier a system of incredible performance is created, resulting in unbridled toe-tapping and air-guitaring!
